With the Frankfurt ‘Miteinanderfonds’ fund, the Polytechnic Foundation of Frankfurt am Main supports good ideas for social cohesion.
The Polytechnic Society Foundation has launched a new funding programme: the Frankfurt Community Fund. With an annual budget of €50,000, the initiative will now support smaller projects that strengthen social cohesion and local engagement in Frankfurt's neighbourhoods.
Private individuals, initiatives and non-profit organisations can now apply and receive up to €500 in funding per project. Low-threshold projects are financed – from neighbourhood festivals and educational programmes to environmental and democracy projects.
‘With small amounts, we want to have a big impact locally and encourage people to get involved themselves,’ says Prof. Dr. Frank E.P. Dievernich, Chairman of the Foundation. ‘Frankfurt thrives on the commitment of its citizens – and we want to make it easier to implement good ideas in an uncomplicated way.’
Only projects that take place in Frankfurt, serve the common good, are non-commercial and publicly accessible, and can be implemented within six months are eligible for funding.
The Frankfurt Community Fund is a joint initiative of the Polytechnic Society Frankfurt am Main Foundation and WE AID gGmbH.
